Welcome to The Friends of The Boat School. We are located in Eastport, Maine. This website is your resource for information on how our nonprofit supports and promotes educational opportunities through The Boat School and The Maine Marine Technology Center. You will also find information about both institutions and all that they have to offer to our community and the greater marine industries community.
Our Mission
The Friends of The Boat School was founded to promote education in the marine trades, and the development of the marine trades, in the Eastport area, with special emphasis on support and promotion of The Boat School.
We are a 501c3 non-profit dedicated to this purpose. We are comprised of a volunteer board of directors and local and regional community members. Our meetings are open to the public and we encourage you to come and learn more about what we do. We believe in marine trades education and the importance of the marine trades to Maine’s economy. Our long-term goal is to support The Boat School in three ways:

How You Can Help
The Friends of The Boat School depends upon your support. Your donation will provide a lasting legacy to the marine trades. Alumni and Friends are the anchor of support that brings stability and resources to our future marine industries. Your help comes in many different ways: from volunteering at an event, manning an informational booth at a boat show, donating equipment or a boat, contributing to the endowment fund, or supporting our annual campaign efforts. There are so many ways to help The Boat School and the Maine Marine Technology Center.
